During the Mid-autumn festival of 2016, the Mahjong class came back to the Confucius classroom to celebrate this important festival together.
Dozens of students came to Confucius classroom to play Mahjong on Wednesday nights. The Confucius classroom invited a guest teacher - Liangpei Li who is an associate professor in China to teach Mahjong. In the Mahjong class, Mr Li introduced the history and the equipment of this game. Students learned the basics and standard rules of Mahjong and did plenty of in-session practice. “Playing Mahjong is so fun and it is a game of skill calculation and luck. It is a wonderful Chinese cultural experience” Some of the students said.
Community class students also had moon cakes with Chinese tea while enjoying Mahjong. It was full of laughs and happiness in the classroom.
