Adhere to appropriate formats when writing texts.

Produce basic workplace texts using key words, phrases, simple sentences to convey main ideas and relevant details.

Adhere to cultural conventions of basic workplace texts.
2.4
Use appropriate resources, as required.
Assessment Task - Description
To complete the task satisfactorily, students must be able:
- Write a
letter applying for the job described
- Use
culturally-appropriately format eg. opening, closing
- Follow a
basic, cohesive structure to convey meaning clearly
- Employ
culturally-appropriate expressions of a formal nature
- Use
dictionaries as required
Instructions to Students
You see your dream job advertised – and it is in China! Read the job advertisement below (with English translation), and write your application using CHINESE Characters.
You will have 45 minutes of class time to complete this task.
You may have access to dictionaries, but not your class notes. You must write at least 150 words.
This Assessment Task will be completed under exam conditions.
Assessment Task – Competency
Students must meet all assessment criteria in order to be assessed as Competent.
Where a student is assessed as Not Yet Competent in any aspect, then support may be provided in order to enable review and for students to attain competency. Re-assessment will be conducted in accordance with relevant school policies and procedures.
For Competency, the student's communication(s) in the Language must convey meaning clearly and be culturally appropriate, even though some grammatical, lexical or pronunciation inaccuracies may occur.
