Given China’s vast population, growing economy, increasing political power and closer trading partnership with Australia, learning Chinese today can definitely set your children up to take advantage of many opportunities in their future career. We will never have enough time to practice writing Chinese characters in the class, therefore, please encourage your children come and join us on each Monday. Five Chinese characters a week, 200 Chinese characters a year. We learn and we have fun.
With the great support from the Confucius Classroom from the Bendigo Senior College, our Chinese Cultural Experience Workshop is back to school this week. We feel grateful that our committed and passionate learners keep coming back to the workshop. After a long celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year (15 days), this Monday, our kids joyfully practice writing some lucky phrases in Chinese with the brush. Most students choose to write down the very popular Chinese character “福” which means happiness and good fortune. Some students even challenge themselves further by writing down some good luck wishes like “大吉大利” and “恭喜发财” which often can be seen on the red envelopes红包. It is also delightful to see our new Preps actually take part in writing some simple Chinese characters such as 一，二，三，十.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
