The Chinese Program students at Camp Hill Primary School focus on learning Chinese language used in a restaurant setting this term. They had been practising their Chinese speaking very hard because they knew they were going to use them in a real Chinese restaurant. These students were given an opportunity yesterday, 2nd September, to have their lunch excursion in a local Chinese Restaurant. Students used Mandarin to order a Chinese meal and a drink. And they used chopsticks to finish their meal as well. The Chinese waiters and waitress were surprised at the students' language levels when they heard our students’ Chinese pronunciation and polite phrases during the conversation. Such valuable learning experience has not only helped students sharpen their language skills, but also motivate them to learn better and deeper about Chinese culture and language.
